Introducing Studio Portraits

July 26, 2017

We knew when we bought our home that we weren’t just buying a big home for the two of us- it was a home from our past, that was for our future and an ideal set-up for our business. If you haven’t heard our story of buying the home where we married, catch-up and read our previous blog post here!  In the past, our portrait clients would want both indoor and outdoor portraits within a hour or two hour window, which required renting a space at a local venue and passing additional costs to our clients. At blackberry hills, we knew the five bedrooms and four acres of property would be the absolute perfect opportunity to create a studio space and an outdoor area where our clients could have both with no additional cost to them. We could create a personal experience where we welcome clients literally into our home, pamper them with hair & makeup by Charlotte’s most sought after artists, present wardrobe options, offer snacks, places to change and get ready, and the list goes on. Bearing all this in mind, we renovated and created a getting ready room and a studio portrait space for all variety of portraits: mommy & me, boudoir, newborns, maternity, etc. More than our clients taking home timeless, artful portraits, they go home with an even deeper and more personal relationship with us that makes the entire process and images created so much more special for everyone involved. I know in the years to come we may need a separate studio space outside of our home in Charlotte but for now, this has been such a huge blessing! We wanted to share a little glimpse of it with you through our first session in the studio of Leah & Sarah!
